CU Prof Dr Manzurul Kibria gets Nature Conservation Award

Chittagong University (CU) Faculty of Zoology Department Professor Dr Md Manzurul Kibria has been awarded the Nature Conservation Award.

Prof Dr Md Manzurul Kibria paid a courtesy call on CU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Yahya Akhtar on Monday for his outstanding contribution to the conservation of nature and biodiversity in Bangladesh.
CU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof Dr Md Kamal Uddin and Zoology Department Lecturer Mohammad Shamsil Arefin were also present.

Adviser to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Water Resources Syeda Rizwana Hasan handed over the award to him on December 25.

Environment, Forest and Climate Change Secretary Dr Farhina Ahmed, Director General of Department of Environment Dr Abdul Hamid, Chief Conservator of Forests Md Amir Hossain Chowdhury, First Secretary for Environment and Climate Change of Swedish Embassy Naika Martinez Beckstrom and Chairman of Prokriti O Jiban Foundation and Vice-Chairman of Impress Group Mukit Majumder Babu were present on the occasion.
