The Ministry of Public Administration on Monday cancelled the gazette issued on October 15 for the 43rd Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) recruitment and published a new one, excluding 168 candidates from various cadres.
According to the notification issued by the Ministry, 1,896 candidates recommended by the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) have been appointed to entry-level positions in various cadres of the BCS.
Previously, the Ministry had issued a gazette for the recruitment of 2,064 candidates.
Among those excluded, 26 candidates are from the administration cadre, three from the foreign affairs cadre, and eight from the police cadre.
Initially, the BPSC recommended 2,163 candidates for cadre positions in the 43rd BCS on December 26 last year. However, in the gazette issued on October 15 after a 10-month delay, 99 candidates were excluded. With the latest exclusions, a total of 267 candidates have now been left out of the 43rd BCS.
