Two men were crushed under train in separate incidents in two districts - Jhenidah and Bogura.
BOGURA: A man was crushed under a train in Adamdighi Upazila of the district on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Jamil Uddin Sardar, 45, son of Labir Uddin, a resident of Jahanarabad area under Santahar Union in the upazila.
It was known that the Lalmonirhat express train coming from Dhaka hit Jamil on the Santahar-Bogura rail line in Utrail Jahanabad Village at around 4 AM, leaving him dead on the spot.
On information, police recovered the body from the scene and handed it over to the deceased's family.
JHENIDAH: A young man was crushed under a train in Kaliganj Upazila of Jhenidah on Sunday.
The accident took place in Babra area near Mubarakganj Railway Station of the upazila at around 3 pm.
The deceased was identified as Arafat Hossain, 20, son of Shafiuddin, a resident of Arpara Village in the upazila.
Mubarakganj Railway Station Master Touhidur Rahman said that a Rajshahi-bound train from Khulna crushed the youth in the area, leaving him dead on the spot.
Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Jashore General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
