Teenage boy dies in Pabna road mishap

A teenage boy was killed in a road accident in Pabna Sadar Upazila on Tuesday.

The accident occurred around 11:00 pm in front of Yakub Filling Station in the town's bypass area.
The dead was identified as Yasin Arafat, 16, son of Milon Hossain. He was a tenth-grade student at Pabna Ideal Laboratory School and College and was set to sit for the SSC examinations in April.

According to police, Yasin was heading towards the town's terminal riding on his motorcycle from Meril Bypass area. At that time, a truck from the opposite direction collided with his motorcycle. He fell on the road and was critically injured.

Locals rushed him to Pabna General Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Pabna Sadar Police Station officer-in-charge Abdus Salam confirmed it.
