The northern district of Panchagarh has been shrouded in a thick blanket of fog. The roads in the district have been shrouded in thick fog since Tuesday night. The fog continued to fall like rain throughout the night.

Vehicles have been plying on the highways with their headlights on since Wednesday (January 1) morning due to the thick fog.
The bitter cold wind coming from the Himalayas has intensified the cold. People are lighting fires to escape the cold. The minimum temperature in the district was recorded at 6 am on Wednesday at 12.5 degrees Celsius. The humidity in the district was 99 percent.

Meanwhile, the intense cold is being felt as the sun does not shine from dawn until 8 am. Low-income people have gone out in search of work, ignoring the dense fog and cold.
