Jamaat leader dies in Joypurhat road crash

A local Jamaat leader was killed in a head-on collision between two motorcycles in Joypurhat's Sadar Upazila on Wednesday.

The accident occurred at 8 am at Guabari Ghat area of the upazila.
The dead Delwar Hossain, 35, son of Mafez Uddin, of Chaumuhuni Dandapani village under the upazila. He was a member of Joypurhat Sadar Upazila Jamaat's Karma Parishad and the president of the Sadar Upazila unit of Bangladesh Sramik Kalyan Federation.

Locals said Delwar Hossain was on his way from his home to Joypurhat town riding a motorcycle. When he reached the area, he collided with another motorcycle from the opposite direction. He died on the spot.

Joypurhat Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shahed Al Mamun said that police were sent to the spot on information.
