A young man was killed and three others were injured in a clash between two groups over a thirty first night concert in Narayanganj on Tuesday night.
The incident occurred near Pagla Boubazar Railway Station of Kutubpur in Fatullah.
The dead Hriday, 20, son of Habir Mia of Pagla Bou Bazar area.
The deceased's friend Sabbir said that they were celebrating thirty-first night with some friends at night. At that time, due to enmity, 7-8 youths from the same area came and beat them up and at one point hacked them with sharp weapons and fled.
Later, when they were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment, the doctors declared Hriday dead.
Immediately after the incident, RAB 11 and Fatullah police arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control. However, no one has been arrested in the incident so far.
Fatula Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shariful Islam said efforts are underway to arrest those involved in the incident.
