Three additional inspector general of police (AIGPs) have been sent on forced retirement.

In three separate notifications, signed by Nasimul Gani, Senior Secretary to the Ministry of Home Affairs, sent three Additional IGPs to retirement from their services on Wednesday (January 1).
The AIGPs are Mallick Faqrul Islam, Selim Md Jahangir and YM Belalur Rahman.

It was stated in the notifications that the retired officials would receive post-retirement benefits as per rules.

Many senior police officials were sent on forced retirement following the fall of Awami League government on August 5 last in the wake of student-people's movement.
