Actress Anjana on life support

Veteran actress Anjana Rahman has been shifted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) from a private hospital.

She was put on life support as condition deteriorated.

The actress's son Nishat Moni said the development on Wednesday.

He said her mother was admitted to a private hospital on December 22 after she fell sick. Then she was receiving treatment the hospital's Coronary Care Unit (CCU). But later, they decided to shift her due to lack of improvement.

It was learnt that Anjana has been suffering from fever for 15 days. After a few days, her condition worsened, Nishat Moni added.

She was a leading actress in Dhaka cinema during her prime. She began her career as a dancer before moving into acting, eventually becoming known for her extensive work in joint productions and foreign films.
