Dense fog engulfs Dhaka, lowest temperature recorded

The severity of cold has increased not only in the country but also in the capital in the current winter season. Dense fog has been seen in various parts of Dhaka since early morning. Some parts of the city are still covered in fog even after 10 am. Cold has settled in the entire capital.

The Meteorological Office said that the lowest temperature recorded in Dhaka on Thursday (January 2) morning was 13.8 degrees Celsius, which is the lowest this season. On the other hand, the lowest temperature recorded in the country on Thursday was 9.8 degrees Celsius in Chuadanga.
Meteorologist Shahinul Islam said the temperature in Dhaka on Wednesday was 15 degrees Celsius. The temperature has dropped by about 2 degrees in a day. On the other hand, due to dense fog, the cold is more noticeable. The situation may remain the same Friday.
