Missing Jubo Dal leader's throat-slit body recovered in Meherpur

A Jubo Dal leader's body was recovered from Meherpur's Gangni upazila, 12 hours later of his missing.

Deceased Alamgir Hossain, 32, was president of ward no 1 of Gangni municipalty.
Police on Thursday morning recovered the throat-slit body of Alamgir from Sohorbaria-Kamarkhali field.

A letter was also recovered from beside the body.

Local people of the area found a hanging body with a tree in the Sohorbaria-Kamarkhali field. Later family identified the body, bore several marks of injuries, said police quoting the locals.

Police, however, recovered a letter beside the body.

"Alamgir's body was sent to hospital morgue. Police are investigating the reason behind the murder," said Gangni Police Station OC Bonny Israel.
