BAGATIPARA, NATORE, Jan 2: Police recovered the hanging body of a college student from his residence in Bagatipara Upazila of the district on Wednesday noon.
The deceased was identified as Naim Islam Turzo, 18, son of Momin Ali, a resident of Kamarpara Village in the upazila. He was an eleventh grader at Nawab Sirajuddaula Government College in Natore.
Police and local sources said that the deceased's family members spotted the body of Turzo hanging from the ceiling of his room in the house at around 8 pm.
The family members then rescued him and took to Bagatipara Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared the boy dead.
Being informed, police recovered the body.
Officer-in-Charge of Bagatipara Police Station Aminul Islam confirmed the incident.
