Cold wave brings normal life to a standstill in Laxmipur

LAXMIPUR, Jan 2: Cold wave along with thick fog has brought a standstill to normal life in the district. 

According to local sources, the Himalayan breeze is flowing over the district along with the cold wave and fog. People can't see things even in 10-feet distance.
      
On Thursday, 15 Degree Celsius temperature was recorded in Laxmipur. From morning to noon, internal route transport movement was hampered. Passengers in transports including rickshaw and CNG decrease. 

On the highway, transports were moving with headlights on. The sun was not visible till piling of this report on Thursday at about 4pm. With the sunset, the cold severity intensified.

The sun has been indivisible for the last two days in the district. 
 
Low-income people are facing living hardship. Boro seedbeds are harmed in cold, said local agriculture officials and farmers.
