Suspect robber lynched in Narayanganj

A suspected robber was beaten to death by a mob at Araihazar upazila in Narayanganj district on Friday night. 

The incident happened in the Jogardia area under Mahmudpur union in the upazila. 

The deceased was identified as Mukul, 45. 

Eyewitnesses said that around seven to eight members of an inter-district robber were planning to mob in a field at night. Sensing there presence, around 500 local people chased them. All the members of the robber group fled, but Mukul was caught by the mob and beaten to death. 

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to a hospital morgue for an autopsy, said Enayat Hossain, officer-in-charge of Araihazar Police Station.
