The Dhaka University students on Saturday (January 4) observed 'Hate Throw' programme on the occasion of 77th founding anniversary of banned organization Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL).
They also hurled shoes on a banner printed with the photos of Awami League and Chhatra League central leaders.
Under the banner of Dhaka University Student Rights Watch, the programme was observed on Raju Sculpture premises.
There were the photographs of Sheikh Hasina, Obaidul Quader, Saddam Hossain, Sheikh Wali Asif Inan, Mazharul Kabir, Navir Hasan Saikat and Atiqa Binte Hosayn. The students hurled shoes on the photographs one after another.
Earlier, the 'Hate Throw' programme was announced on Friday (January 3) on the official Facebook page of Students Rights Watch on the occasion of 77th founding anniversary of Chhatra League.
On the Facebook page, it was stated that "all come with shoes and brooms." Win Mojo being a winner in the competition throwing shoes and brooms at Legue."
It was further mentioned that shoes would be thrown, colour would be thrown, and effigies would be burnt at the programme.
