After Ghanaian striker Samuel Boateng's outstanding performance and double hat-trick, Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society crushed Dhaka Wanderers Club 6-1 on Saturday, soaring to second position in the Bangladesh Premier League standings.

The one-sided match took place at Munshiganj's Shaheed Bir Sreshtho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium. Winning the match big, Rahmatganj MFS piled up its point tally to 15 and mounted the second place on the point table.

That was the first Premier League meeting between the two clubs and the Old Dhaka team surely did impressive while winning the match.

Nabib Newaj Jibon who had been irreplaceable for Rahmatgonj this season could not get the limelight in the match while his 27-year-old foreign colleague Samuel Boateng made the match a one-man show.

Samuel opened the net scoring his first in the 23rd minute and doubled the lead in the 37th minute. He made his first hat-trick scoring the third in the 44th minute.

Although striker Saief Shamsud managed to reduce the margin by one goal for the opponent in the 50th minute that could not tamper with the spirit of the Samuel Boateng.

The Samuel-show continued as the Ghanian soon scored his fourth in the 63rd, the fifth in the 66th and the sixth, also completing his double hat-trick, in the 70th minute of the match.

Before the kick off, Rahmatgonj MFS was in the second place on 12 points, three points behind the first-placed Mohammedan Sporting Club through five matches.

Earlier, Dhaka Wanderers earned its only league win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Chittagong Abahani to break a three-match winless streak, leaving them in eighth place on four points.

In another Saturday match of the Bangladesh Premier League, Mohammedan Sporting Club celebrated a 5-1 win over Chittagong Abahani in Mymensingh.
