FENI: Blankets were given to the cold-hit poor people in the district on Saturday.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Feni Battalion distributed 200 blankets among the helpless people of Jaylaskara area in front of its headquarters.
Commander of the battalion's 4 BGB Lt Col Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain was present as the chief guest at the distribution programme.
Other BGB members of the battalion were also present during the distribution.
NAWABGANJ, DINAJPUR: Blankets were distributed among 2,000 cold-hit helpless people in Nawabganj Upazila of the district on Saturday.
BNP organized the programme in the hallroom of Nawabganj Upazila Parishad at noon.
Member of BNP's National Standing Committee Professor AZM Jahid Hossain handed over the blankets to the recipients there as the chief guest.
Acting President of Nawabganj Upazila Unit BNP Tariqul Islam presided over the programme moderated by its General Secretary (GS) Iqbal Hossain.
DUMURIA, KHULNA: Blankets were distributed among the cold-hit helpless people in Dumuria Upazila of the district on Friday and Saturday.
Dumuria Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Muhammad Al Amin distributed these blankets among the destitute people in different areas of the upazila.
Engineer Russell was also present during the distribution. UNO Muhammad Al Amin said that such activities will continue in the upazila.
NARAIL: The district administration distributed winter clothes among the cold-hit poor people in Kalia Upazila on Friday.
Narail Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sharmin Akhter Jahan handed over these winter clothes to the destitute people in different areas of Kalia and Noragati.
RANGAMATI: Winter clothes were distributed among more than 500 cold-hit helpless people in the district on Friday.
Rangamati DC Mohammad Habib Ullah handed over these winter clothes to the recipients on the DC office premises in the town in the afternoon.
Additional DC (ADC) Mohammad Ruhul Amin, ADC Nasrin Sultana, Rangamati Sadar UNO Rifat Asma, NDC Shamim Hossain, and District Relief Officer Md Fazlul Karim, among others, were also present at that time.
Later on, the DC distributed blankets among the cold-hit people on Mogban Union in Sadar Upazila in the evening.
BARGUNA: Winter clothes were distributed among the cold-hit destitute people in Betagi and Taltali upazilas of the district on Friday.
Muslim Sunnah Foundation distributed winter clothes among more than 200 helpless people in Bibichini Union of Betagi Upazila.
Chairman of Muslim Sunnah Foundation Md Mizanur Rahman, as the chief guest, handed over these winter clothes to the recipients at a programme held in Ranipur Village under the union.
Former chairman of Bibichini Union Parishad Md Anisur Rahman presided over the programme.
Betagi Reporters Unity GS Mohammad Shahadat Hossain, Maulana Rafiqul Islam Biswas and Maulana Abdur Rahman, among others, were also present during the distribution.
Treasurer of the foundation Liton Shikder moderated the function.
On the other hand, Good Neighbours Bangladesh, a voluntary organization, distributed blankets among 1,396 cold-hit helpless families in Taltali Upazila of the district on the same day.
The distribution programme was organized on Alirbandar Primary and High School ground in the upazila in the morning with Manager of Taltali CDP of Good Neighbours Bangladesh Naimur Rahman Shovon in the chair.
Taltali Upazila Education Officer Abul Bashar, Academic Supervisor Gautam Chandra Bose, Head Teacher of Alirbandar High School Md Jamal Hossain. Head Teacher of Alirbandar Primary School Binoy Krishna Dhali, and CDP Medical Officer Dr Md Juwel Hasan, among others, were also present at the programme.
