A training initiative taken by the leading electric vehicle manufacturer BYD has received huge response from local drivers in Dhaka.
A few days ago, BYD announced the roll out of driver training CSR program for local drivers to equip them with necessary knowledge required for driving new energy vehicles (NEV).
The registration process for this training program was kicked off on Friday and subsequently, it received massive response. A total of 700+ drivers lined up for registration, says a press release.
Imtiaz Nawsher, Chief Marketing Officer, BYD Bangladesh said: "For the first time in Bangladesh, any brand has taken such an initiative to train drivers and create awareness among the driver community about the nitty-gritties of NEV driving.
"We are overwhelmed with the response, which is indicative of the growing demands of NEV vehicles in the country. We are delighted to bring such an initiative to the country."
After successful registration, the training will be held in batches every Friday from January 10 to February 14, 2025.
