Patient 'commits suicide' by jumping from Dinajpur Medical building

A patient reportedly committed suicide by jumping from the building of the Dinajpur Medical College Hospital on Saturday.

The dead Dibakar, 48, was a resident of Sujalpur Master Para under Birganj upazila in the district.
Police said Dibakar had been suffering from mental illness for the past few days. He was admitted to Pirganj Upazila Health Complex after suffering a brain stroke on January 2. From there, he was transferred to the medicine department of Dinajpur Medical College Hospital. He died on the spot after jumping from the medicine ward building on Saturday afternoon.

Dinajpur Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Matiur Rahman confirmed the matter.
