Unidentified man's body found in Noakhali

Police recovered the body of a man from a pond in Noakhali's Sadar upazila on Sunday morning. 

The body was found around 11:00AM in a pond next to the BADC office on New Bus-Stand Police Line road area in the upazila. 

Earlier, on Thursday (January 2, 2025), the man had gone missing while bathing in the pond. Locals informed fire service officials, but the fire service personnel were unable to  rescue his from the pond. On Sunday morning, locals spotted his floating body in the pond and informed the police. 

On information, police recovered the body, and legal procedures are underway, said Kamrul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sudharam Police Station.
