Zero dengue death reported, 66 hospitalised

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has said the country experienced no death from dengue fever in the last 24 hours till Sunday morning. 

During the period, 66 more patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, bringing the total number of cases to 287.
Of the new cases, 11dengue patients were in Dhaka North City Corporation while 15 were in Dhaka South City Corporation. Currently, 209 patients are receiving treatment in hospitals across the country.

Last year, the country recorded 575 dengue-related deaths and a total of 1,01,214 dengue cases.

Meanwhile, in 2023, the dengue related deaths recorded 1,705 while the number of cases reached 3,21,179.
