Khaleda Zia flies to London tomorrow for treatment

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will leave for London tomorrow (Tuesday) night for treatment.

BNP Secretary General Fakhrul Islam Alamgir told the media after the meeting of the party's Standing Committee Members with Khaleda Zia at her Gulshan residence on Sunday night. 

Fakhrul Islam said, "If no major complications arise, she will leave Dhaka at 10pm on Tuesday via a Qatar Airways air ambulance bound for London." 

He said, "We all hope that, BNP Chairperson will return home after her successful treatment to give leadership in restoring democracy in the country."

BNP Chairperson advised the BNP leaders and workers to remain united and fight for restoring democracy and rights of vote.

BNP Standing Committee members met party Chairperson Khaleda Zia ahead of her scheduled trip to London for medical treatment. They wished the party chairperson for her advance treatment. 

Among others standing committee members Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Barrister Zamir Uddin Sarkar, Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, Mirza Abbas, Babu Gayeshwar Chandra, Dr Abdul Moin Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan, Salauddin Ahmed, Begum Selima Rahman, Hafiz Uddin. Ahmed Bir Bikram and Prof. Dr. A. Z. M. Zahid Hussain were present at the meeting.

Earlier, before the meeting of Standing Committee Members, LDP Chairman Colonel (rtd) Oli Ahmed called on BNP Chairperson at her residence.
