DU female students call token hunger strike for hall facilities

Dhaka University (DU) is abuzz with protests as female students have declared a token hunger strike, demanding immediate residential facilities. The students protest that they are deprived of their basic rights and that the administration has neglected the immediate crisis they have been dealing with in terms of accommodation.

On Sunday a press conference held at the Dhaka University Journalists' Association office saw frustrated female students reveal their plans to begin a symbolic hunger strike in front of the Vice Chancellor's residence today  (Monday) at 10:00am.
