Ex-minister Abdul Latif sent to jail in 15 cops killing case

Former minister Abdul Latif Biswas has been sent to jail in a case filed over murder of 15 policemen at Enayetpur Police Station in Sirajganj.

Enayetpur court Judge Omar Farruq passed this order on Sunday evening.

Earlier on Sunday afternoon, Abdul Latif Biswas, fisheries and livestock minister and former district Awami League president, was detained from his residence at Belkuchi of Sirajganj by a joint force. Later they handed him over to the district police. 
Latif Biswas is an unknown accused of the case.

A case was filed on August 27,  last year, over the killing of 15 policement at Enayetpur Police Station on August 4, 2024. Latif Biswashas been made an accused in this case.
