Indian goods worth Tk 3.5cr seized in B'baria

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized 320,000 pieces of Indian smuggled power batteries worth around Tk 3,52,00,000 in Brahmanbaria's Bijoynagar upazila early on Monday.

The information was provided through a press release by BGB-25.

It said that, based on secret information, BGB personnel conducted a raid in the Kalishima area under Chandura union in the upazila. Sensing the presence of the BGB, the smugglers fled, leaving behind the power batteries.

Legal procedures are underway in this regard, the release added.
