The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the 16-member squad for the Bangladesh Women's historic tour of the West Indies in January 2025. This marks the first time a Bangladesh Women's cricket team will tour the Caribbean.
The series featuring three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and three T20 Internationals (T20Is) will be hosted at Warner Park in Basseterre, St. Kitts.
The Bangladesh team is set to reach in St. Kitts on January 14 with the series commencing on January 19. The ODIs are scheduled for January 19, 21 and 24, followed by the T20i matches on January 27, 29 and 31.
This tour holds significant importance as both teams are vying for crucial ICC Women's Championship points essential for direct qualification to the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup set to be held in India later this year.
The Girls and Green and Red, led by Captain Nigar Sultana Joty and Vice-Captain Nahida Akter, features a mix of experienced players and promising talent. The team includes notable names like Murshida Khatun, Sobhana Mostary and Shorna Akter alongside young stars such as Rabeya and Marufa Akter.
