Fertiliser trader fined at Singra

NATORE, Jan 6: A mobile court here fined Tk 2  lakh to a fertiliser trader for creating artificial crisis in Singra Upazila of the district on Sunday. 

Trader is Abu Bakkar Siddique, proprietor of Hena Trader at  Singra Bazar in the upazila. 

Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Executive Magistrate Majharul Islam conducted the mobile court.

Along with him, Khondoker Farid, upazila agriculture officer, police and army members and local farmers were present during the drive.  

Khondoker Farid said, some dishonest traders are creating crisis of fertiliser in the market, despite having huge stocks in their godowns.

On that complaint, the mobile court was conducted in the market, and, after checking, Hena Trader was found guilty and fined Tk 2 lakh.
