Nasir made prez, Newaz secy of BASA 

The Bangladesh Administrative Service Association (BASA), an organisation of the admin cadre officers of the Bangladesh civil service, on Sunday appointed a new body comprising Home Ministry's Additional Secretary Md Nasir Ud Dowla as President and Election Commission Additional Secretary KM Ali Newaz as Secretary General.

In its extended general meeting held on Sunday at its headquarters in Dhaka, the new committee was elected for the next two years, 2025-2026. BCS (admin) cadre officers from Dhaka and nearby areas attended the meeting, according to a press release.

They will replace former BASA President Dr Md Anwar Ullah and Secretary General Muhammad Mahbubur Rahman, both of whom have recently begun their post-retirement leave.
