3 extortionists held in M'singh

Joint forces arrested three extortionists for their alleged involvement in extortion in Gauripur upazila in Mymensinh district on Sunday night.

A team of joint forces conducted a raid in the New Bus Stand Mor area under Gauripur municipality area and arrested the men while they were collecting money from vehicle drivers.

The arrested individuals are Junaid Ahmed, 23; Md Milon Miah, 48; and Md Imran, 25. All are residents of the upazila.

Mirza Mazharul Islam, officer-in-charge of Gauripur Police Station, confirmed the matter.
