Rapid Action Battalion arrested two drug peddlers along with 1,000 pieces of Yaba tablets at Mithapukur upazila in Rangpur district on Monday.
They were arrested from Shothibari point on the Dhaka-Rangpur highway in in the upazila.
The information was provided through a press release by RAB-13.
Acting on tip-off, an operational team of RAB-13 conducted a raid in the area and arrested the duo with the drugs, it said.
The arrested men are Md Saiful Islam alias Khokan, 30, hailed from Cumilla distroict, and Md Nazmul Islam, 32, a resident of Bagdua village under Pirganj upazila in Rangpur district.
The arrested people later were handed over to Mithapukur police station," the release added.
