Cotton factory gutted in Dinajpur

A cotton factory was completely gutted in a fire that broke out at Chirirbandar upazila in Dinajpur district on Tuesday morning. 

The incident happened at Champatala Bazar in the upazila. 

Md Monzer Alin, owener of the factory, said that goods worth around Tk 10 to 15 lakh were damaged in the incident.  

It was learned that the workers of the factory saw the flames when they went there in the morning. 
On information, two units of firefighters arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire afte two hours of efforts, said an officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence. 

The fire might have originated from an electrical short circuit, the official added.
