After approval from the Advisory Council meeting, all products related to e-cigarettes or electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) have been included in the list of prohibited imports. The Ministry of Commerce recently issued a gazette amending the 'Import Policy Order, 2021-24' and included e-cigarettes in the list of prohibited imports.

Earlier, the proposal to ban the import of e-cigarettes was approved in the Advisory Council meeting on 12 December, presided over by Chief Advisor Dr Muhammad Yunus.

Following the meeting, a press release from the Cabinet Division stated that the proposal was raised by the Healthcare Division of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. This step has been taken to ban the import of all products related to e-cigarettes or electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) to protect public health and ensure the safety of future generations.
