Anti-Discrimination Student Movement's central coordinator Hasnat Abdullah has alleged that a kind of ill efforts are going on to wipe out the achievements of July revolution with the passing of time since August.

The effective steps, supposed to be taken by the government, are not being taken. However, there must be the recognition to the martyrs and injured of July-August Revolution in the steps.
He was talking to newsmen at the Town Hall ground after distributing the July Revolution Proclamation in Comilla city on Wednesday afternoon.

Hasnat Abdullah also said: "We went to the Central Shaheed Minar in Dhaka on December 31 last to declare the July Revolution Proclamation. Since the government took the responsibility of declaring the proclamation on the basis of all kinds of political consensus, we did not announce it on December 31 after being assured by the government. Though so many days have passed since then, the government has not taken any visible steps in this regard yet. We still hear the cries of martyred and injured of July Mass Uprising. The families of the martyrs have been deprived of receiving their due benefits citing bureaucratic tangles. But, no post-2024 bureaucratic tangles will not be allowed in Bangladesh in any way."

He said: "We want to convey a message to the government that the Proclamation of July Revolution must be announced by January 15 next. There should be clear-cut description of 1947, 1971 and 2024 in it. There should be a recognition that a nation was freed from Awami League's forgery. The political parties which took part in the revolution should also get their due recognition."

Hasnat Abdullah said the people of Comilla first began the movement. The people of Comilla were the reason of Sheikh Hasina's insomnia. Anti-fascist voices have always been raised from Comilla.

At that time, Anti-Discrimination Student Movement's Comilla District Committee's convener Sakib Hosayn and member secretary Zia Uddin Rubel, among others, were present.
