Two men were killed and three others injured in separate road accidents in two districts - Natore and Munshiganj.
BAGATIPARA, NATORE: A man, who was injured in an accident in Bagatipara Upazila of the district on Tuesday, died at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) early Wednesday.
Deceased Aslam Ali, 50, son of late Abed Ali, was a resident of Kuthipara Village under Jamnagar Union in the upazila.
Local and the deceased's family sources said that Aslam along with one Roni Ahmed was heading towards Baneshwar Haat to buy onion saplings on Tuesday morning riding on a motorcycle.
On the way, a bus hit the motorcycle in Puthia's Shibpur area on the Natore-Rajshahi highway, which left Aslam seriously injured.
Locals then rescued him and admitted to the RMCH, where he succumbed to his injuries at around 12 am on Wednesday while undergoing treatment.
Jamnagar Union Parishad Chairman Golam Rabbani confirmed the incident.
SIRAJDIKHAN, MUNSHIGANJ: A young man was killed and three others were injured in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a three-wheeler in Sirajdikhan Upazila of the district on Tuesday afternoon.
The accident took place in Mostofaganj Madrasa area on the Shreenagar-Munshiganj road of the upazila at around 5 pm.
The deceased was identified as Md Enamul Haque, 20, son of Montu Hasan, hailed from Sherpur District.
It was known that a motorcycle and a three-wheeler collided head-on in the area, which left Enamul killed on the spot and three others injured.
Locals rescued the injured and took them to Sirajdikhan Upazila Health Complex.
Officer-in-Charge of Sirajdikhan Police Station Khandakar Hafizur Rahman confirmed the incident.
