Mild cold wave sweeping over parts of country

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) Thursday forecasted that a mild cold wave is sweeping over the districts of the north and north-western region for the next 24 hours that began this morning.

“Mild cold wave is sweeping over the districts of Rajshahi,Pabna,Naogaon, Panchagarh and Chuadanga and it may spread”, said the forecast which began from 9am.
Ridge of sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal and adjoining Western part of Bangladesh. Seasonal low lies over South Bay, extending it tough to North Bay, reports BSS.

Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country.

Moderate to dense fog may occur at places over the country during midnight to morning.

Night temperature may fall by (1-2)°C and day temperature may rise by (2-3)°C over the country.

Country’s maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 28.6 degree Celsius atTeknaf and minimum temperature today was recorded 09.1 degree Celsius at  Badalgachhi.

The sunset Thursday at 05-29 PM and rises Friday at  06-43 AM in the capital.
