The sacks of case documents, which were missing from the corridor of Chittagong Metropolitan Court, has been recovered from a shop.

Police, however, detained a young man who used to sell tea on the court premises, said Kotwali Police Station OC Abdul Karim.

The nine sacks were recovered early hours on Thursday.

Police informed that the sacks, containing case documents, were sold at a scrap shop in the Patharghata area for Tk 16 per kilogram.

After analysing CCTV footage from the court over the past two days, police detained a young man and recovered the missing files based on his statements.
