Joint forces arrested nine people for allegedly making fake military, different government and non-government organisations identification (ID) cards on Wednesday night.
The arrested men are Raju Ahmed, 50, Ashraf Ali, 55, Navin Pramanik, 27, Md. Mamun, 30 of Bogura Sadar, Manjurul Islam Majnu, 30, of Kahalu upazila, Mujahidul Islam Selim, 52, Md. Nahid Islam, 19, Sejanur Rahman, 36, and Sohel Rana, 25, residents of the same district.
Based on secret information, a team of joint force conducted a drive at Shapla Market of the town and arrested them from the printing shops.
Equipment used for forgery, including computers, laptops, and other materials, were seized during the raid.
MM Mainuddin, officer-in-charge of Bogura Sadar police station, confirmed the matter.
