The seventh round of Bashundhara Group Bangladesh Premier League football begins today at four separate venues across the country.
On the day, table topper Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited take on old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society at Birshrestha Flight Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj, holders Bashundhara Kings meet Fakirerpool Young Men's Club at Bashundhara Kings Arena in the capital, Dhaka Wanderers Club face Brothers Union Club at Shaheed Barkat Stadium in Gazipur and Bangladesh Police Football Club play against Fortis Football Club at Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh.
All the matches kick off at 2.45pm.
Earlier, Mohammedan beat Dhaka Wanderer Club 6-0 and edged past Bashundhara Kings and Abahani Limited Dhaka by an identical margin of 1-0 goal, defeated Bangladesh Police Football Club by 3-1 goals, beat Fortis Football Club by 1-0 goal and thrashed Chittagong Abahani Limited by 5-1 goals.
Rahmatganj earlier made winning start in the league beating Fortis Football Club by 3-1 goals, defeated Chittagong Abahani Limited by 2-0 goals, lost 4-1 defeat to Bashundhara Kings, notched 3-1 win over Brothers Union Club, thrashed Fakirerpool by 6-1 goals and crushed Dhaka Wanderers also 6-1 goals.
Bashundhara Kings earlier thrashed Chittagong Abahani Limited by 7-0 goals in their league opening match but they lost to Mohammedan Sporting Club by 1-0 goal in their second match.
The league champions, however, bounced back to register a 4-1 victory over Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society in their third match of the league, lost to a 1-0 goal defeat to Abahani Limited Dhaka, played out to a 1-1 goal draw with Brothers Union Club and thrashed Police FC by 5-0 goals.
While Fakirerpool went down 2-0 defeat to Abahani Limited Dhaka, suffered 4-1 defeat to Bangladesh Police FC, lost 3-0 to Fortis Football Club, beat Chittagong Abahani Limited by 2-0 goals, suffered a 6-1 defeat to Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society and suffered 3-0 defeat to Brothers Union Club.
Brothers Union Club earlier beat Bangladesh Police Football Club 2-1, played 1-1 draw with Fortis Football Club, blanked Chittagong Abahani Limited 2-0, lost to Rahmatganj by 3-1 goals, played out to a 1-1 goal draw with Kings and blanked Fakirerpool by 3-0 goals.
While Dhaka Wanderers Club earlier suffered 6-0 defeat to Mohammedan in their league opening match, conceded 1-0 defeat to Abahani Limited Dhaka and suffered 4-0 defeat to Bangladesh Police Football Club in their third match of the league, played out to a 1-1 goal draw with Fortis Football Club, suffered 1-0 defeat to Dhaka Wanderers Club and suffered 6-1 defeat to Rahmatganj.
Fortis Football Club earlier suffered 3-1 defeat to Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society in their league opening match, played out to a 1-1 goal draw with Brothers Union Club, managed a 3-0 win over Fakirerpool Young Men's Club, shared point playing out to a 1-1 goal draw with Dhaka Wanderers Club, lost to Mohammedan by 1-0 goal and Dhaka Abahani to play goalless draw.
