The government is likely to sign deals with the Saudi government and other authorities relevant with Hajj management within February 14 this year to ensure smooth management of annual Hajj.
The issues of selecting the service providing companies, reservation of tent area, house rent at Makkah and Madina for the pilgrims, selecting catering companies would be determined with the deals, according to religious Affairs Adviser AKM Khalid Hossain.
The Adviser, at a press conference at the Secretariat on Thursday, said that they have not yet started the procedures of signing agreements for those. The authorities have the time to complete the process within February 14.
He instructed the Hajj agencies and other authorities concerned to complete the works within the stipulated time for smooth arrangement of Hajj 2025.
He informed that a high-power delegation of Bangladesh led by Adviser Khalid Hossain would leave for Saudi Arabia to finalise the issues and signing agreements with the Saudi government.
In the press conference, the Adviser informed that this year 87,100 Bangladeshi pilgrims have completed their registration for pilgrimage against the quota of 127,198.
