Most of the 267 candidates from the 43rd Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS), who were excluded from the recruitment process, are expected to rejoin their jobs, if they do not have any cases against them.

The decision was taken at a review meeting held at the Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday.

While briefing the press after the meeting with the affected candidates, Public Administration Ministry Senior Secretary Dr Md Mokhles Ur Rahman said, "The investigation has been completed, and we are working to finalize the process promptly. The reevaluation of their petitions is currently underway."

He expressed optimism about the reinstatement of most of the excluded candidates. Dr Mokhles also spoke about the government's decision to introduce a dearness allowance for public officials and employees, a measure expected to be implemented soon.
