Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) Friday forecasted mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over the north, north-east, west, south and southwest region of the country.
"Mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over the districts of Rajshahi, Pabna, Naogaon, Dinajpur, Panchagarh, Jashore, Kushtia, Chuadanga, Gopalganj and Moulvibazar and it may continue at some places," according to the forecast valid for the next 24 hours begins from 9am this morning, reports BSS.
Ridge of sub-continental high extends up to Western parts of Bangladesh and adjoining areas. Seasonal low lies over the South Bay, extending its trough to the North Bay.
Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country. Light to Moderate fog may occur at places over the country during midnight to morning.
Night temperature may rise slightly over Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions and it may remain nearly unchanged elsewhere over the country. Day temperature may rise slightly over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 28.7 degree Celsius at Teknaf and today's minimum temperature 07.3 degree Celsius was recorded at Tetulia.
