Woman held with foreign pistol in Laxmipur

Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested a woman along with a foreign pistol from a house of Laxmipur's Sadar upazila on Thursday evening.

The arrested woman is Sazu Aktar, 18, wife of drug peddler Jweel, a resident of Hamchadi village under Hamchadi union in the upazila.

Sahadat Hossain, officer-in-charge of the district DB, said, " Acting on a tip-off, a team of the police conducted a raid in Jweel's house. During the drive, a pistol was recovered and Jweel's wife was arrested as Jweel was not in the house."
