Lipi thrives as woman entrepreneur

Lipi Khandker is one of the entrepreneurs of the country who dedicated her life to uphold the Bengali culture through her work. She religiously loved the work that she did and tried to convince the people to embrace the Bengali culture through the cloths and designs. 

She is the Managing Director & Head of Design at Bibiana, which is now a renowned brand. Her dedication and work has enabled here to emerge as one of the most influential and traditional designers of our country. 

Following her graduation from the Institute of Fine Art's, the aspiring designer who was a true Bengali at heart, pursued to dedicate her life in designing clothes that uphold and represent the Bengali culture, values and traditions. 

With high hopes and big dreams, she established Bibiana in 2001. Bibiana has become a household name, catering not only to quality clothing, but also hosts a range of accessories and household products that have deep ties to our rich heritage over time. 

Some of her work has been displayed in fashion shows held at Italy, New York, Toronto, Kathmandu and Rome.
She received Australian Fellowship Award in 2015 for her social entrepreneurial works. Her contribution in women empowerment through creating employment opportunities for thousands of female artisans across the country is commendable.

"Talent, hard work, honesty and patience are key to the success. Those can take a person to create own niche. The main mantra of a successful entrepreneur is her talent, hard work, honesty and concentration," Lipi said.
This message serves as a powerful reminder of the dedication required to thrive in any field.
