Various types of smuggled goods were seized by Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) from the border areas of Sylhet and Sunamganj districts early Saturday.
The information was provided by Commander of Sylhet BGB Battalion Lieutenant Colonel Md. Hafizur Rahman at a press conference on Saturday.
He said that the BGB team conducted several drives in Pratappur, Panthumai, Sangram, Sonarhat, Bichnakandi, Lafarge, Noakot and Kalairag and seized the smuggled goods including Indian sugar, oranges, chocolates, buffalo meat, beer, liquor, garlic and horn fish.
The estimated value of the seized goods is Tk 72.36 lakh.
