Mercantile Bank holds annual business conference

The Annual Business Conference-2025 of Mercantile Bank was held at the Le Meridien Hotel in Dhaka on Saturday. 

The heads of the 152 branches and 45 sub-branches, deputy managing directors all head of divisions and regional heads participated in the Business Conference. 
Md Anwarul Haque, chairman of the Board of directors was the chief guest while Managing Director Mati Ul Hasan presided over the program.

Al-Haj Akram Hossain (Humayun) vice chairman, MA Khan Belal, chairman, Executive Committee, Mohammad Abdul Awal, chairman, Risk Management Committee, ASM Feroz Alam, director, Mercantile Bank PLC and chairman, Mercantile Bank Securities Ltd, M Amanullah, director, Mercantile Bank PLC and chairman, Mercantile Exchange House (UK) Ltd, Al-Haj Mosharref Hossain, director and CFO Tapash Chandra Paul, PhD toke part of the conference.

Md Zakir Hossain, Adil Raihan, Shamim Ahmed, Ashim Kumar Saha and Dr Md Zahid Hossain, DMDs were also present with other senior executives and officers of the Bank. 

Bank's Chairman Md Anwarul Haque thanked the heads of branches, subbranches and divisions for their sincere efforts to attain the organizational goals. 

He also stated that banking sector took the lead to keep country's economic stability despite having challenges emanated from recent political situations and worldwide economic downswing. 

On the other hand, bank's MD emphasized the participating officials with significant guidelines for achieving the Annual Business Targets of 2025. 

He also urged the concerned officials to take attention on agriculture and SME loan to ensure food security of the country and sustainability of the rural economy. 

At the same time, the MD called on his subordinates to enrich the customer services and ensure the smart banking with innovation and transformation.
