2 held with Yaba tablets in city

Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested a bus driver and his helper along with 4,000 pieces of yaba tablets from Dhaka's Jatrabari area on Friday.

The arrested men are bus driver Md Zakir Hossain, 45 and helper Md Shahin Chowkidar,30.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of the DB conducted a raid and arrested the duo from a bus named 'Saint Martin Road Master' bound to Dhaka from Cox's Bazar.

The information was confirmed by an official of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Saturday.

A case has been filed with the police station under the Narcotics Control Act, the police official added.
