Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC has been honored with the "Top Ten Remittance Gold Award 2025" for its exceptional performance in remittance collection.
This recognition was presented during the "Branding Bangladesh" World Conference Series 2025, held at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon in Dhaka on Saturday.
At the event, the Managing Director of Islami Bank, Muhammad Munirul Maula, received the award from the Governor of Bangladesh Bank, Ahsan H Mansur, in the presence of Foreign Ministry Adviser Mohammad Touhid Hossain.
The ceremony was chaired by M S Shekil Choudhury, Chairman of the Center for NRBM, with special guest Barrister Saifuddin Khalid, a Bangladeshi-British citizen and the Speaker of Tower Hamlets in the UK. The gathering included local dignitaries as well as expatriates.
The award highlights Islami Bank Bangladesh's successful initiatives in collecting remittances from Bangladeshis living abroad.
