BNP Vice-Chairman Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad, also former State Minister for Religious Affairs, has urged the country's people to pray for the recovery of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, who has gone to London for advance treatment.
While addressing an International Qirat Conference on Friday at the outer field of Kamalapur Stadium in Dhaka's Mugda, the former state minister said that Quran recitation brings peace to the hearts of people. Such Quran recitation conferences should be held in every corner of Bangladesh.
"I could not stay in the country for a long time because of the fascist Sheikh Hasina government. I have been deprived of such programmes of Quran recitation and waz mahfils. May Allah accept me as a servant of the Quran, everyone should pray for me. Begum Khaleda Zia has gone to London for treatment, I request for your prayers for her recovery," he added.
On the occasion of awarding turbans to Hafiz students of Markazul Furqan Educational Family, the event was organized with the participation of renowned reciters from all over the world.
