Shimanto Bank gives water tanks to climate change victims

Shimanto Bank recently distributed water tanks among the people affected by climate change to conserve drinking water in Shyamnagar Upazila of Satkhira district as part of CSR, says a press release. 
The necessary infrastructure has been constructed to conserve rainwater in the tanks. This initiative will positively change the lives of the local people and address the shortage of drinking water in this coastal region affected by climate change. The local non-government development organisation Nowabenki Gonomukhi Foundation (NGF) has provided overall support to this initiative.
Monowar Hossain, Manager, Shyamnagar Sub-Branch, Shimanto Bank;Md. Alamgir Kabir, Director (Microfinance), NGF; S M Mahabub Alam, Head of Monitoring, Evaluation and Documentation, NGF; and officials of both organisations were present at the programme.
