2 killed in Faridpur bus-truck collision

Two people were killed and at least 30 injured when a bus fell into a ditch after a head-on collision with a truck in Faridpur's Nagarkanda upazila on Sunday. 

The accident occurred around 8 am at Bashagari under Dangi union in the upazila on the Faridpur-Bhanga highway.
One of the dead has been identified as Sajjad Kha, 25, son of Brahmankandi Alef Khan of Madhukhali, Faridpur. Sajjad was reportedly a helper of the bus that met with the accident. The name and identity of the other person could not be found.

Nagarkanda Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Safar Ali said a passenger bus belonging to 'Alif-Mim Paribahan' was going to Dhaka from Faridpur. When the bus reached Bashagari area on the way, it collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction. The bus fell into a ditch and the truck was twisted, resulting in the casualties.
